The Human Influence System™ - The Central Philosophy
Most sales training starts in the wrong place.
It starts with techniques. With scripts. With processes that look clean on a slide and fall apart the moment a real client looks at you and says, "I need to think about it."
I've been working with salespeople, account managers, and commercial teams for years. And the pattern I keep seeing is this: the people who struggle aren't struggling because they don't know how to close. They're struggling because something fundamental is missing - in the way they manage their own pressure, the way they read other people, the way they communicate when things get uncomfortable.
So, about two years ago, I stopped teaching sales and started teaching something harder. And more honest.
The Human Influence System™ is built on one central belief: you cannot build a successful commercial career on skills alone. Not in the long run. You need capabilities - internal, human, deeply practised capabilities that hold up when the client is difficult, the deal is slow, and the pressure is real.
The system is structured around six pillars. Not because I like frameworks (okay, I do, but that's beside the point). But because each of these six areas represent a real gap I've seen consistently in the people I work with.
Start with yourself. Then move outward.
That's the whole philosophy, honestly. The rest is just detail.
